This category contains categories of bishops of dioceses in Sweden, as well as Swedish Bishops of other (nondiocesean) denominations. Unless otherwise stated, all dioceses in Sweden have been Roman Catholic until and Lutheran since the Protestant Reformation. The archdiocese, later diocese, of Lund, was Danish until 1658. The Roman Catholic diocese of Stockholm, the only one in Sweden, dates from the 19th century but originates in an apostolic vicariate established in 1783.
