[edit]This pages says Camels were found in the Pipe Creek Sinkhole, which is obviously false... it probably refers to the generic mammalian group of camelids, which includes llamas, etc. Camel would refer to the Asian/african variety.
Actually, two seperate varieties of extinct camel were found in the sinkhole, according to the Hillsdale college of Missouri website. Here.
