Correction on main article needed
[edit]The article begins with an incorrect statement. It says that "The Moog Taurus is a foot-operated analog synthesizer designed and manufactured by Moog Music from 1974[1] or 1975[2] to 1981." On the album "Genesis Live" which was recorded and released in 1973 Peter Gabriel states that a short low note between songs is "an unaccompanied Bass Pedal solo by Michael Rutherford", who is widely known to be one of the earliest users of Bass Pedals. Some the material played on that album is from the album "Nursery Cryme", which was recorded and released in 1971, which pre-dated this article by four years. 66 Biker — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.131.190.84 (talk) 05:23, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
- The bass pedals used by Michael Rutherford at that time was a Dewtron "Mr Bassman". The first Genesis album to feature the Moog Taurus, instead of the Dewtron, was "A Trick of the Tale". — Preceding unsigned comment added by T.Andersson (talk • contribs) 17:15, 6 March 2013 (UTC)
comment from cleanup
[edit]It would be nice if there were an article on Moog that covered the man, then one on the company that could cover their various enterprises, which includes a list of bass synths. A solo, nonsense, article on one pedal doesn't seem like a good clean job. Geogre
