I have to disagree with inclusion of the American Pie discussion in this article. It seems to be a too-specific discussion of a singular incident in a movie, instead of an example of the usage that the author of that paragraph intends to describe. Additionally, I have NEVER seen or heard of "young Americans" referring to themselves as something-meister in reference to anything but their own name (certainly not money-meister or pick-up-meister as this article states).

The popularization of the -meister name suffix in American slang can be traced back to the "Rich-meister" character portrayed by Rob Schneider on Saturday Night Live. This character combined portions of other character's names with things like "-meister" or "-o-rama" for no explained reason. This usage was far more frequently found in American popular culture than the Stif-meister reference explained in the article, as well as the possibly apocrophyal "noun-meister" type usage (and, of course, the American Pie usage is derived from the Saturday Night Live character I have described).
