Fair use rationale for Image:Queenelisabethlogo.gif

[edit]

Image:Queenelisabethlogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The table should show 6 and not 5 laureates, the number that actually receive a prize. --Dr. Friendly (talk) 10:00, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How can I edit a table that does not appear after clicking "edit this table"?

[edit]

{{help me}} While preparing another article, I consulted this one and noticed that the name of the second laureate of the 2001 violin competition, Ning Kam, appeared in red. But Wikipedia has a page on her; only, it is entitled "Kam Ning" (last name first -- she is the daughter of Kam Kee Yong; the person who wrote this QEMC article followed the western style, first name first). When I clicked "edit this page", the table did not appear. How can I edit it? Polla ta deina (talk) 11:54, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Phantomsteve, Thanks for doing the edit yourself as well as for your answer. I am a Wikipedia newbie, who's got to learn a lot, but I'll endeavor to do so; and I hope I'll soon have 10 edits and thus be autoconfirmed. Now that I am retired, like yourself, I hope to have time for Wikipedia-work. Polla ta deina (talk) 13:39, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dear PhantomSteve, Sorry I misunderstood you, and good luck with your career switch! I have meanwhile posted my first new article on the English Wikipedia, on Jozef De Beenhouwer, a translation and adaptation of the Dutch original, to which I contributed heavily. Have a look and tell me if you like it. If classical music is your thing, have a look also at the external link, including the list of Robert-Schumann-Prize winners. You'll see what kind of company the man keeps, and why he is definitely wiki-worthy. Best wishes, Polla ta deina (talk) 14:44, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
