Wikiportals are Wikipedia pages intended to be the main pages for Wikipedians interested in a specific area of knowledge, helping both to find the information on the specific topic and to develop articles connected with it. As with the rest of Wikipedia, they can be edited and updated by anyone. If you are interested in contributing to a wikiportal, or even starting a new one, look into this page.

Art		Art is a broad term, which may be interpreted in different ways, often relating to creativity, aesthetics and generation of emotion. See the overview articles about Art, Arts and Fine art.
Astronomy		Astronomy is a science involving the observation and explanation of events occurring outside Earth and its atmosphere. It studies the origins, evolution, physical and chemical properties of objects that can be observed in the sky (and are outside the earth), as well as the processes involving them.
Aviation		Aviation refers to the activities surrounding mechanical flight and the aircraft industry. Aircraft, include fixed wing (airplane) and rotary wing (helicopter) types, as well as lighter than air craft such as balloons and airships (also known as dirigibles.)
Biology		Biology is the science of life. It is concerned with the characteristics and behaviors of organisms, how species and individuals come into existence, and the interactions they have with each other and with their environment. Biology encompasses a broad spectrum of academic fields that are often viewed as independent disciplines. Together, they study life over a wide range of scales.
Canada		Canada is the second largest and the northern-most country in the world, occupying most of the North American land mass. It is a decentralized federation of ten provinces and three territories, governed as a parliamentary constitutional monarchy. It was initially constituted through the British North America Act of 1867 and styled The Dominion of Canada.
India		The Republic of India is a large country in South Asia, and one of only two countries in the world with a population of over one billion. The Indian economy is the fourth largest in the world in terms of purchasing power parity and is the world's second fastest growing economy. India is also the second most populous country in the world and the world's largest democracy. It is the seventh largest country by geographical size. It has grown significantly, in both population and strategic importance, in the last twenty years. India has also emerged as an important regional power, possessing one of the world's largest military forces and a declared nuclear weapons capability. Located in Asia and constituting most of the Indian subcontinent, India straddles many trade routes. India is home to some of the most ancient civilizations and has given birth to four major world religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism.
Information technology	File:Personal computer.jpg	Information technology (IT) or information and communication technology (ICT) is the technology required for information processing. In particular the use of electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit, and retrieve information from anywhere, anytime.
Mathematics		Mathematics is commonly defined as the study of patterns of structure, change, and space; more informally, one might say it is the study of "figures and numbers". Mathematical knowledge is constantly growing, through research and application, but mathematics itself is not usually considered a natural science. The specific structures that are investigated by mathematicians often do have their origin in the natural sciences though, most commonly in physics.
Music		Music is a word whose accepted definitions vary with time, place and culture. It is said to be an art, or form of entertainment, it is also often defined by contrast with noise or speech. Some definitions of music place it explicitly within a cultural context by defining music as what people accept as musical.
Personal Life		Life or personal life or human existence is an individual human's personal, private career (including, but not the same as their employment career), and is a common notion in modern existence. There are service industries designed to help people improve their personal lives via counselling or life coaching.
Religion		Religion, is commonly defined as belief concerning the supernatural, sacred, or divine, and the practices and institutions associated with such belief. In its broadest sense some have defined it as the sum total of answers given to explain humankind's relationship with the universe. Religion takes an almost infinite number of forms in various cultures and individuals, but is dominated by a number of major world religions.
Sport and games		A sport is a physical activity or skill carried out under a publicly agreed set of rules, and with a recreational purpose: for competition, for self-enjoyment, to attain excellence, for the development of skill, or some combination of these. The difference of purpose is what characterises sport, combined with the notion of individual (or team) skill or prowess. A game is a recreational activity involving one or more players, defined by a goal that the players try to reach, and some set of rules that determines what the players can do. Games are played primarily for entertainment or enjoyment, but may also serve an educational or simulational role.
