[edit]Any comments about whether this article should be merged with Peach (disambiguation)?? 66.245.77.58 22:33, 21 September 2004 (UTC)
- I don't think it really needs to be merged... while "Peaches" is the plural form of "peach", everything listed here (besides the link to the fruit itself) is a proper noun that is actually singular. A link to here should probably be run from Peach (disambiguation) to here, but I don't see the need to combine pages. Kevyn 23:54, 27 September 2004 (UTC)

Peaches → Peaches (disambiguation) – Clear plural primary topic; move this disambiguation page so that the title can redirect to Peach. bd2412 T 18:24, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
- Support peaches refers to peaches. In ictu oculi (talk) 23:16, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose. I came ready to !support. Surprisingly, though, "Peaches" most often apparently refers to Peaches (musician):
- Peaches: 1,838 views in August
- Peaches (musician): 15,884 views in August
- That's 8.6x more views for the musician than the dab page. Also - there are currently three articles that link to Peaches. 1 is for peaches; 2 are for Peaches. So editors are more likely to link to the musician, and readers are more likely to be looking for the musician. Ideally, the musician would be the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for "Peaches". Short of that, though, the separate dab is probably a decent situation. Dohn joe (talk) 02:07, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
- What about views for peaches the fruit? This is why we don't use page views via redirects at the expense of common sense. Please run a "peaches are" search in Google Books and tell us what percent refer to the Canadian singer. In ictu oculi (talk) 02:37, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hmm, two mildly interesting things here... First, Dohn joe, I don't think it's necessary to say "!support"--you are actually supporting or opposing in a discussion, even though we don't actually vote Also, In ictu oculi, I'm pretty confident that no one would ever say (when talking about a single musician) "Peaches are" but rather "Peaches is", which (of course) receives almost no relevant results--but there is at least one! - The singer's songs' fame will prove to be ephemeral, like most pop music, sic transit gloria mundi; but people will keep on growing peaches on peach trees. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 07:44, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
- Support per nom. The plural of the fruit is the obvious primary topic. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:53, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
- Support. The fruit has the clear long term significance here. Egsan Bacon (talk) 16:44, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
- Support - I think long-term significance is in favor of the fruit, even in its far-lessened plural form. (Also, Dohn joe, note that normally articles have far higher view counts than dabs because links and Google results will basically never take a reader there.) Red Slash 03:01, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, that's true. But in this case, the dab page is at the base title for the plural, so presumably any searching for the plural of "peach" would be brought here. And as I mentioned above, there are more Peaches links to the singer than there are to the plural of the fruit. I still think it would be reasonable to move to the singer. Dohn joe (talk) 18:13, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
- Support. The fruit is by far the primary topic. kennethaw88 • talk 03:39, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
