Don't delete!

[edit]

I vote not to delete this! -- Bilbo1507 02:13, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You can't delete this! This is like one of the most awsome things by far ever up to date and of all times! A BUNNY with a PANCAKE on his HEAD, think about it!--Mudel 16:38, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Technically, it's a dorayaki, but still! 68.151.17.131 (talk) 02:49, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That's a waffle, not a pancake or a "dorayaki". Try to be less of a weeaboo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.180.194.3 (talk) 20:05, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Since they were obviously refering to the meme, I was as well. Try to be less of a dumbass. 68.151.17.131 (talk) 04:06, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oolong and Yuebing

[edit]

Aren't Oolong and Yuebing chinese phrases?

Yes they are. Oolong is a type of tea, the name literally means "black dragon". Yuebing means moon-cake. Kitty 17:46, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Changes: "Pancake" name

[edit]

made a couple of changes, clarifying what exactly was on Oolong's head.

Hmm, now the article says "dorayaki", but the caption says "senbei". Which is it? —Keenan Pepper 19:38, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

In the picture used in the article, it's a "senbei" (rice cracker) - Oolong's most famous picture shows him balancing a "dorayaki" but this isn't shown in the article. You can see the image in the link below. Kitty 15:54, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Photo choice?

[edit]

Is there a reason we have this photo rather than the better-known one in [1]? --SPUI (talk) 21:47, 11 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Probably because the one we have hasn't been edited? That picture may be what made him famous, but that doesn't mean that's the one to use. Otherwise we should use the tongue-sticking-out picture on Albert Einstein (sure, Al was famous before, but of all photographs of him, that one's the best known). I like the one without funny captions better, as far as Wikipedia goes. 82.92.119.11 21:33, 27 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The pancake one is also available without the caption, too - http://www.rit.edu/~jmc6852/Untitled-1.gif --Random|[[User talk:Random832|832]] 02:31, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The picture we have now looks A LOT like its edetid. You can see that the waffle is photoshopped onto the rabbits head and not really lieing on it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.177.57.77 (talk) 14:44, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The image there right now with the waffle is ridiculous (all things considered...) It's a very obviously photoshopped parody. In fact, I would bet whoever added the waffle image did so as a practical joke. The original images can be found here: http://www.fsinet.or.jp/~sokaisha/rabbit/rabbit.htm —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.40.119.106 (talk) 18:17, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don't be silly, the original image, as clearly indicated on the image page is present on that same website: http://sokaisha.hp.infoseek.co.jp/030407/030407.htm . --Reinoutr (talk) 19:44, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Most famous image

[edit]

In Oolong's most famous image, the "pancake" one that won over the Internet's most jaded denizens, he appears to have two dorayaki on his head. Am I seeing this wrong? --Pw33n 17:04, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's how a dorayaki (single dorayaki) is-- two sections with the filling in between-- which is how it could easily be mistaken for "two." --Tadakuni 17:34, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edit 2-29-08

[edit]

Deleted from main page: Note: The above quote references a "sic" ("spelled-incorrectly") for the word "site". The word is actually spelled correctly in the context of a website.

1. Sic 2. The "sic" in question refers not to the spelling of the word "site" but to the improper grammatical construction of the sentence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yowzaboodle (talkcontribs) 18:41, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Photoshopped/Fake

[edit]

The article's main image has clearly been edited to add in the waffle picture. Is there no photo of the rabbit actually with something on its head? 124.169.82.178 (talk) 01:37, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
