[edit]Question - I'm not too sure who it is on here who puts the sales figures up each week, but I was just wondering where they got the sales figures from. Thanks! - PiffPuffPickle
- I get them from the CoolClarity forums. BillyH 06:14, 29 September 2005 (UTC)
Please avoid posting new number 1's before they have been officially announced, it's illegal!! David 5000 19:56, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- In what way is it "illegal"? Note that a number of websites, including Virgin (the ISP, not the music stores) list them many, many hours before Radio 1 reads them out. Its not like the Radio 1 show is "the charts". --Kiand 15:39, 30 August 2005 (UTC)
- I have heard of other websites being threatened with legal action by the Official Charts Company for listing them early, I didn't want it to happen to Wikipedia - I wonder how the websites you mentioned have avoided this. David 5000 17:13, 30 August 2005 (UTC)
- Those sites are displaying the full top 40 without a licence, and are UK based. Wikipedia is neither. --Kiand 17:15, 30 August 2005 (UTC)

Franz Ferdinand
[edit]Somebody is making things up, Franz Ferdinand did not have the #1 album of 2005. It was James Blunt and Franz Ferdinand's album only went 1 time Platinum and ended up behind the debut.
