Just wanted to drop a line and say I tried out Firefox, as suggested on your website. I think the setup and execution is great (love the tabbed browsing and the search box in the browser), but I've had to switch back to IE -- Firefox has proved too buggy at this point for me to use. (Plus, I can't get it to scroll using my edgescrolling. I use a Dell laptop with a mousepad, and apparently that doesn't jive with the extension for mouse-scrolling.) Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to keep an eye on it, and upgrade when new versions come along. I'm eagerly awaiting a more stable version :) --Wolf530 07:21, Mar 31, 2004 (UTC)
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to your user page (User:Splinter), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy).
Please note that the purpose of a user page is not as a personal homepage or used as a general webhosting service, but as a way for active editors of Wikipedia to introduce themselves to other editors. If you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues here or on my user talk page. You may remove the deletion notice, and the page will not be deleted for the moment, but note that it may still be sent to Miscellany for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Request for usurpation
[edit]Hello, Splinter. A request has been made at Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations to usurp, or "take over", your username because another user would like to use it to edit. The changing username guideline allows a username that is not being actively used to be usurped if the user is given an opportunity to object and does not do so.
If you have an email set in your preferences, you should be getting an email from a bureaucrat or changing username clerk explaining how to consent or object to this process.
If you do not object to being renamed to a new username in order for another user to use the name you currently have, please log in and post a reply here saying so (you may also tell us what username you would like to be renamed to, or we will provide you with a generic one).
If you do nothing: the request may be filled shortly, and your account will be moved to a generic username. You may request that it be moved to a new username of your choice at any time.
If you object to being renamed: please log in and make an edit to this page clearly stating that you object to usurpation. Any objection on your part will prevent usurpation.
Please note that even if your current username is usurped, you can still edit and your data will not be lost; your preferences, watchlist, and other user settings will be transferred to a new username.
Thank you for your time. Splintering (talk) 21:07, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
