Created by Stan Lee?

[edit]

Is there a citation for this? Ruth Atkinson Ford created Millie the Model on her own. Did she not create Patsy Walker on her own as well, in the tradition of other cartoonists who both write and draw? Could the author of this otherwise very impressive piece please cite his/her references so that (as they say in Wikiland) "others can check your work"? Thanks! -- Tenebrae 14:38, 20 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hedy Wolfe, not Hedy Devine

[edit]

The last name of Patsy's friendly rival was Wolfe. Hedy Devine was an actress character in the comics Hedy Devine and Hedy of Hollywood. Hedy Wolfe had her own one-shot, Hedy Wolfe, in 1957. Sources: [1], [2], [3], elsewhere. -- Tenebrae 14:46, 20 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hellcat costume, not the Cat's

[edit]

This page includes the text "There they find one of superheroine Greer Nelson's Cat costumes. Walker immediately dons the yellow catsuit and dubs herself Hellcat." The costume Patsy found was similar to the Cat's, but not identical. There are several differences, but the easiest to see is this one: The Cat uniforms all had a "cat's paw" emblem on the chest. The Hellcat costume did not. My opinion on this is that the Brand Corporation heard the same rumors Iron Man cited ("the rumor in financial circles was a crackpot named Donalbain created the costume...and its powers...for his own purposes") and decide to try making their own. Darci 19:44, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The issue with that theory is later Greer, aka the cat aka tigra, recognizes the costume and when it is given to her it works better since it was designed for her which makes sense as no version of the costume was designed for Greer and Greer's original costume did not enhance abilities.
So why would Greer both think it was hers and think it was the source of her abilities when she was the cat?
Nothing makes sense. 72.85.25.238 (talk) 18:03, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:PatsyAndHedy72.jpg

[edit]

Image:PatsyAndHedy72.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

WikiProject Comics B-Class Assesment required

[edit]

This article needs the B-Class checklist filled in to remain a B-Class article for the Comics WikiProject. If the checklist is not filled in by 7th August this article will be re-assessed as C-Class. The checklist should be filled out referencing the guidance given at Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment/B-Class criteria. For further details please contact the Comics WikiProject. Done, it needs more references but is looking good.

Structure

[edit]

The structure is confusing - it is as though someone has thrown a "fictional character biography" section into the middle of the article as "Publication history" covers her early "life" then it moves on to her Hellcat years and then onto the Initiative but then there is the fictional character biography section header just before the Hellcat one. I may be missing something here but it looks like either we need the publication history moving into a more focused section and then the FCB moving up to cover the whole of her "biography" or we make the sections art of a more hybrid look at publication and biography. Fictional character biography

[edit]

How is the “Fictional character biography” section supposed to be organized? If it’s supposed to give a chronological overview of Patsy’s life, why isn’t her backstory from Kate Leth’s run included? It seems like All-New, All-Different Hellcat is being treated as separate from previous Hellcat stories. Don’t understand the reason for this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Prajag (talkcontribs) 22:32, 28 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Page Name

[edit]

Shouldn't the name of this page be "Hellcat (Patsy Walker)" ...?

I believe it is standard for the superhero code name/alias to be primary page name followed by the alter ego/real name in parenthesis. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.66.69.94 (talk) 17:37, 22 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
